My Scans keep failing, what Can I do?

CBCT:

  • single file DICOMs usually deliver the best results

  • Only DICOMS up to 2 GB are supported

  • Non-orthogonal scans are not supported (each slice is offset by a fixed values)

  • make sure that the folder you upload contains multiple DICOM slices

Intra-oral scans:

  • Totally edentulous scans are not supported yet.

  • Please make sure you upload either scanned plaster models or digital impressions directly taken from the mouth. Scanned impressions (scanned silicon or alginate impressions) are not well supported.

  • Surgical caps/scanning are sometimes recognized, but do not work for every case

  • if you upload a scanned plaster model, it works best when scanned without the base

Fusion of intra-oral and CBCT scans

  • Please make sure that both scans represent the same moment in time. Pre-op scans together with post-op CBCTs can cause errors in processing.

Will reuploading a case allow it to go through processing?

  • If you reupload a failed scan without making any changes to the files, it will almost certainly fail again

I have encountered a successful but low-quality segmentation, what can I do now?

  • Please flag the scan inside the system, so we can update our algorithms

  • You can use the manual segmentation tools inside the editor to adjust the scan

  • Please be aware that we do not offer manual segmentation services
